According to the EVA AIR website article, Clark Airport is approximately 80 kilometers (50 miles) from Manila Airport, offering Filipino passengers another way to travel to Taiwan and connect to other destinations in Asia, Australia, Europe and North America.

The Clark service also cuts travel time between the airport and popular beaches and resorts in northern Luzon Island and, via the Subic–Clark–Tarlac (SCTEX) highway, is still convenient for getting to Manila. The new gateway is tailor-made for Taiwan-Philippines travelers.

It will also be attractive to US and European passengers transiting to the Philippines via Taipei.

The airline will fly an Airbus A321-200 to Clark and offer convenient scheduled flights:

Taipei Clark
Flight number: BR233
Frequency: Daily
Departure: 09:00
Arrival: 11:00 a.m.

Clark-Taipei
Flight number: BR234
Frequency: Daily
Departure: 12:00 p.m.

Clark is located northwest of Angeles City in the province of Pampanga on the site of the former Clark Air Force Base in the United States. After the US Air Force decommissioned the base, the Philippine government turned it into a special economic zone. It is a secure area with beautiful landscapes, a pleasant climate and many seaside resorts. Vacationers can experience light aircraft, hang gliding, paragliding, ziplining, exploring caves, snorkeling, surfing, fishing and enjoying beautiful beaches, as well as warm hospitality and delicious food for which the Philippines are known.
